Gail Otero has over 20 years of experience working in the thoroughbred horse racing industry. For 17 years she worked in the security department at Calder Race Course as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Security and Office Manager. Mrs. Otero specialized in conducting background investigations at municipal, county, state, and national level on individuals licensed to participate in the thoroughbred horse racing industry. Approximately 4,000 individuals were screened annually. She was also responsible for drafting and/or editing investigative reports assigned by the Director of Security which pertained to individuals who violated rules and regulations or committed criminal acts that compromised the integrity of horse racing. Mrs. Otero left the horse racing industry in 2006 to pursue a career as a private investigator.

Mrs. Otero is part owner of Top-Notch Investigations, Inc. a licensed private investigative agency that specializes in background investigations.

Mrs. Otero has conducted numerous “Due Diligence” inquiries on individuals and/or companies which are considered sensitive in nature. These inquires have involved the examination and analysis of company reports and records as required by the client and recommendations for further action.

As the result of extensive training in areas of customer service which was provided by the management of Gulfstream Park & Calder Race Course, Mrs. Otero has had the ability to provide strong customer service to both the internal and external guests. She understands the needs of customers and has the skills to find a way to service their needs while maintaining the high standards of security and safety.
